Applications are invited for filling 8 posts at Level - 1 against Scouts & Guides Quota of RRC North Western Railway NWR for the year 2017-18.

Level - 1 Vacancies in RRC :

  • No of Posts Available for RRC Level - 1 : 08 Posts

(Jaipur,Ajmer,Jodhpur & Bikaner Divisions of North Western Railway - 02 Posts in Each place)

  • Candidate have to apply separately for Grade Pay 1800/-
  • Candidates having Scouts & Guides Qualifications can only apply

In RRC, Pay Scale for Level - 1 is Level- 1 (Erstwhile Group 'D' Sixth P.C Pay Band-I 5200 - 20200 + GP 1800/-)

RRC North Western Railway Age Limit 2017 :

Age Limit for North Western Railway Level - 1 is 18 to 31 Years

Educational Qualification for Level - 1 in RRC NWR 2017 :

1. Minimum 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT/SCVT at the time of applying.

2. Scouts and Guides Qualifications :

  • A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalaya Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any Section.
  • Should have been an active member of a Scouts Organization for the last 5 (Five) years i.e. 2012-13 onwards.
  • Should have attended two events at National Level OR All Indian Railways level & two events at State level

Application Fee for Level 1 in RRC 2017 :

  • The Candidates have to pay 500 /-
  • 250 /- Only for ST/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/women/ Minorities and Economically BackwardClass/ Persons with disability candidates
  • (Minorities : Muslims, Christians, Sikhs,Buddhists, Zorastrian (Parsis) and Jains Economically Backward candidate : those whose annual family income is less that 50,000 /-)

  • Separate application with separate examination fee shall be submitted in case of candidate applying for both the Level-2 and Level-1 posts

Application Procedure for Level - 1 in RRC 2017 :

1. The Application Form should be filled up in English or in Hindi only

2. The envelope must be superscribed "Application for Scouts and Guides Quota, 2017-18 Level- 1

3. The application should be sent along with required documents by Ordinary Post to

  • Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway, Power House Road, Opp. DRM Office, Jaipur - 302006 OR
  • dropped in the Box kept in the office, RRC, Jaipur for this purpose.

4. Last Date for Submission of Application : 30th July, 2017

RRC NWR Selection Process 2017 for Level 1 :

1. Written Test (50 Marks)

  • 40 Objective Questions - 40 Marks
  • 1 Essay - 10 Marks

2. Scouting Skill Assessment (10 Marks)

A Skill Assessment Committee will assess the practical ability-of the candidates.

3. Marks on certificates (40 Marks)

  • Participation/Service rendered in National Events/Nation Jamboree 10 Marks (including All Indian Railway Events) - 10 Marks
  • Participation/Service rendered in State Events/Rallies - 10 Marks
  • Specialized Scout/Guides course organised at National/State/All Indian 10 Marks Railways level - 10 Marks
  • Participation in District Rallies - 10 Marks

The date, venue and time of the Written Examination will be intimated to the eligible candidate through ordinary post or email/SMS.
