TNPSC Applications are invited only from candidates professing Hindu Religion, upto 5.45 p.m. on 17-05-2011 for direct TNPSC recruitment to the vacancies in the following post included in Group I B Service :

TNPSC Pay Scale 2011 : 15600-39100 + Grade Pay 5400/- (PB3)

General Information for TNPSC Group I B Services Exam 2011 :

a) The number of TNPSC Vacancies 2011 advertised is only approximate and is liable to modification with reference to vacancy position at any time before finalization of selection for Oral Test.

b) The rule of reservation of appointments is applicable to the post and distribution of the TNPSC Group I B Vacancies 2011 will be as per the rule in force.

c) In G.O. Ms. No.145, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (S) Department, dated 30.09.2010, the Government have issued orders to fill up 20% of all vacancies in direct TNPSC Group 1 Services recruitment on preferential basis to persons studied in Tamil Medium.

d) Candidates who claim reservation with reference to orders issued in the above G.O., should enclose evidence in support of their claim from the Institution where they have studied the prescribed qualifications. TNPSC Group I B Services Applications submitted without evidence for “PSTM” (PSTM – Persons Studied in Tamil Medium) will not be considered for the above said reservation. This reservation will be subject to Court case, if any pending.

e) Certificate of Physical Fitness : Candidates selected for appointment to the post will be required to produce a certificate of physical fitness in the form prescribed for “Executive Posts”. The Standard of vision prescribed for the post is ‘Standard- I’.

f) The Differently Abled persons should produce along with the TNPSC Group 1 B Exam Application a copy of certificate of physical fitness specifying the nature of physical handicap and the degree of disability based on the norms laid down, from the Medical Officer concerned in the relevant speciality to the effect that his / her handicap will not render him / her incapable of efficiently discharging the duties attached to the post to which he / she is applying. However he / she should produce the physical fitness certificate obtained from the Medical Board before appointment.

All the three categories of DA person are eligible for the Reservation to DA persons and the turn reserved for DA (Blind) will be utilised in TNPSC Group I B Recruitment 2011.

g) If no qualified and suitable female candidates are available for selection against the vacancies reserved for Women, those TNPSC Group 1 B Vacancies 2011 will be filled by male candidates belonging to the respective communal categories.

h) Even after filling up of the posts reserved for SC Arunthathiyars on preferential basis, if more number of qualified Arunthathiyars are available, they shall be entitled to compete with the Scheduled Castes other than Arunthathiyars in the inter-se merit among them and if any posts reserved for Arunthathiyars remain unfilled for want of adequate number of qualified candidates, it shall be filled up by Scheduled Castes other than Arunthathiyars.

i) Reservation of appointments to Destitute Widows and Ex-Servicemen will not apply to TNPSC Latest Recruitment 2011.

j) Any claim relating to the selection (not related to candidature or/and claims made in the application) should be received within 90 days from the date of announcement of TNPSC Group 1 B results. Claims received thereafter will receive no attention.

k) Only persons professing the Hindu Religion as required by Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act – 1959 (Tamil Nadu Act 22 of 1959) are eligible to apply.

Qualifications for TNPSC Group I B Exam 2011 :

(A) TNPSC Age Limit for Assistant Commissioner Jobs 2011 : As on 1.7.2011

Maximum Age Limit for TNPSC Group 1 B Exam 2011 : Should not have completed – 37 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(Other than BCM)s and Destitute Widows of all castes. 32 years for candidates not belonging to any of the above said categories.

Note : The maximum age limit will not apply in the case of a candidate in service, holding the TNPSC post of Executive Officer Grade-I or Grade-II or Grade–III or Grade–IV, or Inspector or Head Clerk or Manager or Superintendent, in the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Administration Department.

Age relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit will be applicable to persons affected by the ban order as per the orders issued by the Government. Item (d) of para 2 and para 4 of the Commission’s ‘Instructions, etc., to candidates’ will not apply to TNPSC Assistant Commissioner Recruitment 2011.

(B) Educational Qualification for Assistant Commissioner Vacancies in TNPSC 2011 :

Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent qualification on the date of TNPSC Group 1 B Notification 2011 viz. 16-04-2011 :

(i) (a) A degree in Arts or Science or Commerce of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant or B.O.L. of Annamalai University or B.B.A. of Madurai Kamaraj University or B.Litt. of the University of Madras or B.B.M. or B.Litt. of Bharathiyar University and A degree of Bachelor of Law (three years course) of any University or Institution recognized by the UGC for the purpose of its grant. Â OR

(b) A degree of Bachelor of Law (Five years integrated Course) of any University or Institution recognized by the UGC for the purpose of its grant. AND

(ii)(a) Must be actually practising as an Advocate or as a Pleader in a Court of Civil or Criminal Jurisdiction for a period of not less than three years. Â OR

(b) Must have put in a service of not less than six years in the post of Executive Officer, Grade I or Grade II or Grade III or Grade IV, or Inspector or Head Clerk or Manager or Superintendent, in the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Administration Department.

Note :

(1) The TNPSC Group 1 B Qualification 2011, prescribed for this post, should have been obtained by passing the required degree course in the order of studies 10th, HSC, Bachelor’s degree.

(2) Persons claiming equivalence of qualification should enclose evidence for such claim failing which their TNPSC Group 1 B Exam 2011 application will be summarily rejected.
