Goa Public Service Commission invites applications for the below mentioned posts. The last date for receipt of Goa PSC applications is 30.05.2013.
I. Goa Medical College :

Educational & Other Qualifications for Goa PSC Recruitment 2013 :
Essential :
(i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule ( other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the
Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post Graduate degree qualification in the speciality concerned or equivalent.
(iii) At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Senior Resident / Registrar / Tutor / Demonstrator in a Medical College / Teaching Institution.
(iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable : Knowledge of Marathi.

Educational & Other Qualifications for Goa PSC Recruitment 2013 :
Essential :
(i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
(ii) National Eligibility Test ( NET ) / State Level Eligibility Test ( SET ) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the “ University Grants Commission ( minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree ), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET / SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges ”.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

(i) Ph.D. or M.Phil in the relevant subject.

IV. Directorate of Archives & Archaelogy :

Educational & Other Qualifications for GPSC Recruitment 2013 :
Essential :
(i) Master’s degree in Indian History / Political Science of a recognized university or equivalent.
(ii) 3 years experience in research / teaching in Modern Indian History / work in an Archival Office.
(iii) Degree in Portuguese or Curso Complementar in Art / Science from Lyceum of Degree of a recognized university or equivalent with Portuguese as Principal or subsidiary subject.
(iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable :
(i) Knowledge of Archival Science.
(ii) Knowledge of Portuguese Palaeography, Typography and Proof Reading.
(iii) Knowledge of Marathi ( Modi script ).
Note :
Candidates who do not possess EQ (iii) will also be considered but if selected, they will be required to pass a special Departmental Examination in the Portuguese Language before confirmation.

Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note 2 :
The qualifications regarding experience is / are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the G.P.S.C. is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

Essential :
(i) Bachelors and Masters Degree in Pharmacy with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters Degree and Ph.D. or equivalent in appropriate discipline.
(ii) Minimum of 10 years Teaching / Research / Industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor ( Or ) Minimum of 13 years experience in Teaching and / or Research and / or Industry.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable :
(i) Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students.
(ii) Knowledge of Marathi.
Note :
1. In case of research experience, good academic record and books / research paper publications / Intellectual Property Rights / Patents Record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee.
2. If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising / designing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books / research paper publications / Intellectual Property Rights / Patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee.

Application Form for Goa Public Service Commission Recruitment 2013 :
1. The last date for receipt of Goa PSC Recruitment 2013 applications in the office is 30.05.2013. Casa J.D. Fernandes Stationery Supplier, Printers & Book Binders, Opposite Municipal Garden, Panaji, are authorized to sell the prescribed application form @ 20/- per set.
2. The Goa Public Service Commission does not take the responsibility of supplying application forms by post.
3. For detailed information, please see the instructions supplied with the Goa PSC Jobs 2013 application form.
4. Candidate can also download and use the Goa PSC Recruitment application form available at Goa Public Service Commission website.
5. Incomplete applications in any manner are liable to be rejected summarily by the Goa Public Service Commission.
6. “ The upper age limit shown against each post is relaxable upto 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC / ST, upto 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC, upto 5 years ( total 10 years for SC / ST & 8 years for OBC in respect of posts reserved for them ) to blind, deaf – mute and orthopedically handicapped person and upto 5 years for CFF.
7. Age is also relaxable for Government Servants upto 5 years as per the instructions issued by the Government from time to time ”.
8. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical / scientific posts, this requirement can be relaxed.
9. The Goa Public Service Commission will draw a panel of candidates, which will remain valid for a period of one year.
10. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for Goa PSC interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Goa Public Service Commission will short list the candidates to be called for GPSC interview.
