ITBP Recruitment 2011 Selection Process

The eligible candidates shall be issued Indo Tibetan Border Police Force Admit cards to appear in ITBP Recruitment Test 2011. The date and place of ITB Police recruitment test will be indicated in ITBP Admit card 2011. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests :

a) Checking of Documents :

The candidate will be required to produce the original and attested photocopies of the documents related to his Education Qualification, Date of Birth etc. as mentioned above. The original documents will be returned to the candidate on the spot after ITBP verification.

b) ITB Police Physical Standards Test 2011 :

Candidates found eligible in documentation will be screened for height, chest and weight measurements by the Board. Those who do not meet the required physical measurements will be eliminated at this stage.

c) ITBP Head Constable Written Test 2011 :

The eligible candidates will be required to pass the following written examination with at least 45% marks in each subject. The SC / ST candidates will be given a concession up to 5% marks as per Govt. of India instructions on the subject

d) Skill Test for ITBP Head Constable Jobs 2011 :

(a) The candidates, who qualify the ITBP Written Exam 2011, will be required to appear in a skill test i.e. typing test on computer as under : (Minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English typing or minimum speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi Typing only on computer. Time allowed- 10 mts) (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word ).

(b) Computer Skill/Knowledge (Max. Marks – 15)

Basic knowledge of MS word, Excel & Power point shall be tested. This test shall not be qualifying in itself but the marks obtained by a candidate will be added while drawing the merit.

e) ITBP Head Constable Interview 2011 : 20 marks

The candidates who qualify the individual written papers as well as the Skill Test will be called for Indo Tibetan Border Police Force interview to check personal bearing, response, aptitude, general level of intelligence, etc.

f) Detailed Medical Examination (DME) :

Candidates selected in order of merit will be put through medical examination to assess their fitness as per the standards fixed for Indo Tibetan Border Police Force recruitment to the post.

g) Appeal against rejection in detailed medical examination :

i) A candidate declared unfit in detailed medical examination, if not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer, can submit an appeal for his re-medical examination with duly filled Medical Fitness Certificate in the prescribed proforma as a piece of evidence about possibility of error of judgment in the decision of the Medical Officer at the time of ITBP Head Constable Recruitment 2011.

ii) The appeal for remedical examination will not be taken into consideration unless it contains duly filled medical fitness certificate in the prescribed proforma, a note by the medical practitioner concerned to the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate has already been rejected as unfit for appointment by a Medical Officer;

iii) The appeal for re-medical examination will not be taken into consideration unless the original Rejection Slip issued by the Presiding Officer is enclosed and re-examination Fee of 25/- is also enclosed in form of Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft in the name of Commandant, Base Hospital, ITB Police, New Delhi.

iv) The appeal should be submitted within 30 days from the date of rejection, to the authorities i.e. to whom the ITBP application was initially submitted who will forward the same to Directorate General, ITB Police, New Delhi after due scrutiny with relevant details. The appeals received after 30 days will not be entertained. Indo Tibetan Border Police Force Head Constable Recruitment 2011 will not be responsible for Postal delay.

v) The decision of the Re-medical Board of ITBP shall be final and no 2nd appeal will be entertained as per Govt. instructions and also no reply of the correspondence/2nd appeal will be given/entertained.

Candidates who are already in Central / State Govt. service including Departmental Candidates should send their application through proper channel with No objection certificate from their employer. ITBP 2011 Application received without proper channel and No objection certificate will also be rejected.

All eligible candidates will be duly informed about the date and venue of the Indo Tibetan Border Police Force recruitment tests through admission card. Candidates should come duly prepared for 2-3 or more days stay under their own arrangements at the ITBP Recruitment Centre.

The Government shall not be responsible for damage/injury, if any, to the individual sustained during the ITBP Selection Test / Head Constable Recruitment Process 2011. No TA/DA will be admissible. Incomplete Indo Tibetan Border Police Force recruitment applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence on this will be entertained. No ITBP application after the last date as mentioned above will be accepted.

Indo Tibetan Border Police Force Head Constable Recruitment Application Form 2011 :

Eligible and interested candidates should send their ITBP recruitment Applications (duly filled in Hindi or English only) complete in all respects and Candidate’s ITBP Admit Card duly filled in, in the prescribed proforma. The Indo Tibetan Border Police Force Recruitment 2011 application shall be type written or neatly hand written on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on ITBP application / admit card duly attested by Gazetted Officer along with ITB Police application fee, enclosures as mentioned below to the the following address :

so as to reach on or before the prescribed last date i.e. 14th July, 2011, for all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub- Division of Chamba District of HP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which last date is 21st July, 2011.

Indo Tibetan Border Police Force Application Fee :-

The candidates belonging to General and OBC category will be required to pay 50/- ( non refundable ) as ITBP applicable fee in form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp( CRFS)/ Indian Postal Order/Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Inspector General (Special) Frontier ITBP, Payable at SBI R K Puram, New Delhi, Code No 1076.

Enclosures required to be attached with Indo Tibetan Border Police Force Application Form 2011 :

Attested copies of following be attached with the ITBP application form 2011 :

(i) Educational Certificate.

(ii) Date of birth Certificate (Matriculation or 10th Class).

(iii) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC Certificate (if belonging to any of these categories)issued by an authority not lower than Tehsildar or SDM.

Note :

OBC certificate must be attached as per prescribed proforma.

(iv) Domicile Certificate issued by local revenue authorities for ITBP verification of citizenship.

(v) Discharge Certificate for Ex-Servicemen.

(vi) Two latest passport size photographs. (one pasted on ITB Police application form and another on ITBP Admit Card duly attested)

(vii) IPO/Bank Draft of 50/- ( for General and OBC Candidates only )

(viii) Two self addressed envelopes of 4”x9” size with 5/- postage stamps affixed on each envelope.

(ix) Certificate for claiming relaxation in height & chest (if applicable)

(x) Envelope containing Indo Tibetan Border Police Force Application must be superscribed in bold letters “Application for the post of Head Constable (CM) in ITBP”.

Note :

All the above original certificates are required to be brought at the time of ITBP Recruitment Tests for verification by the Board.
