North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Umiam is an autonomous body functioning under the Department of Space and North Eastern Council (NEC) to assist development process in North Eastern Region using space scicnco and technology. It undertakes specific applications projects using remote sensing. GIS, satellite communication and conducting space science research. The Centre's services are helpful in natural resources management, infrastructure planning, health, education, disaster management and Earth Observation Applications Mission.

4. Candidates selected against M.E./M.Tech Degrees with pre-eligibility qualification as B.E'B.Tech./M.Sc shall initially have different Promotion Policy than candidates with other qualification subject to fulfilling ISRO.'DOS norms.

5. In case of foreign degree holders where the documents'degree.'certificates are not in English then translation and authorized transcription must be attached and equivalency certificate from Association of Indian University (AIU) must also be scanned and attached. Failure to produce equivalency certificate at the time of interview shall lead to disqualification.

6. The Centre reserves the right not to till up any of the posts, if il so decides.

7. Tho porcontago of marks obtained by tho candidato would bo calculated based on tho practice as followed by tho respectivo University/institution. In caso of grades/CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/Institution. If any University/Institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

8. The qualification prescribed and the benchmark are only the MINIMUM requirement and fulfilling the same does not automatically make a candidate eligible for Interview.

9. Rounding-off marks/CGPA Grading Is not allowed.

9. Selection Process:

After satisfying the minimum essential qualification, screening of the applications will be done by a duly constituted Screening Committee based on the following criteria:

• 80% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in the Essential Qualification only and marks obtained in tho pro eligibility qualification will not be considered for screening purpose.

• 20% weightage will be given to the work experience in the relevant field upto 2 years. Minimum experience of 6 months only will be considered and any experience less than 06 months shall be ignored. Rounding-olf of experience is not allowed. 05 marks shall be given for completed 06 months of relevant experience and proportionate marks shall be given for 3ny period above 06 months upto 12 months (only completed months of experience will be considered). Full marks i.e. 20 shall be given for the relevant experience of completed 2 years or more. Ph.D expenenoe will also be considered subject to its relevancy to the post.

• Only post qualification experience will be considered. Experience Certificate should clearly show the dale of joining & date of relieving. Name. Designation and nature of work performed during the tenure to be clearly mentioned in the Experience Certificate, failing which experience will not be considered for screening purpose.

• As the screening process will be based on percentage of marks, candidates with CGPA'CPI need to convert into percentage certified by appropriate authority viz. Direclor/Principal/Registrar/Dean (Acadenu^yDeputy Registrar/ Assistant Registrar/ Controller of Examination only, uploaded through online only will be considered. The call letters for the interview to the shortlisted candidates will bo uptoaded on the NESAC Official Website or will be communicated by email.
