OICL AO Recruitment 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

The exam conducting authority will determine the eligibility criteria of OICL for the candidates who wish to appear for the recruitment exam. OICL eligibility criteria is the minimum requirement on the basis of age and educational qualification, that must be fulfilled by the candidates before filling the application form. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria of OICL may be rejected at any later stage of the recruitment process.

OICL eligibility criteria - Age

The candidates must be between 21 to 30 years of age as on July 31, 2018. However, there are various age relaxations provided to the reserved category candidates. The table below contains the age relaxations as per the category.

OICL AO Recruitment 2019 Application Process

OICL will release the application form in online mode. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill the application form along with the payment of application fee. Candidates must fill in the application form with correct details. Before filling the application form, candidates must have an active email ID, mobile number, scanned image and signature. In order to fill the application form, candidates must click on the registration link and fill in the details like name, email ID etc. A registration ID and password will be generated which will be sent to the candidates on their mail and mobile. Candidates can use these login credentials to access their application form later. Along with filling the details, candidates must also upload their scanned photograph and signature of the prescribed dimension. Candidates must preview the application form before they finally submit the application form of OICL as no modification or correction will be done once the application has been submitted. The application form of OICL will not be accepted by the examination authority until the application fee is paid. The application fee of OICL will be determined by the exam conducting authority as per the category of the candidates.

The application fee must be paid in online mode by  Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets. The application fee once paid is non-refundable.

OICL Administrative Officer Age Limit :

  • Minimum Age : 21 years
  • Maximum Age : 30 years

Application Fee in OICL 2017 :

  • SC/ST/PWD : 100/- (Intimation Charges Only)
  • Other Candidates : 600/- (Application fee including intimation charges)

OICL Application Procedure :

(A) Application Registration :

Candidates are Requested to Visit Company Website www.orientalinsurance.org.in to Apply & Register

(B) Payment of Fees :

  • The application form is integrated with the payment gateway
  • The payment can be made by using Debit Cards,Credit Cards,Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets
  • On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated
  • Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form
  • Payable on-line from 28 Oct, 2019 to 27 Nov, 2019

(Candidates should apply through On-Line mode only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted)

(C) Photograph & Signature Scan and Upload

Selection Process for Administrative Officer :

Phase - I : Preliminary Examination

  • Objective Tests for 100 marks
  • Test will be in Online Mode for 1 Hour

Name of the Tests :

  • English language : 30 Marks (English Version)
  • Reasoning Ability : 35 Marks (English/Hindi Version)
  • Quantitative Aptitude : 35 Marks (English/Hindi Version)

Phase – II : Main Examination

Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests (200 marks) and Descriptive Test (30 marks)

1. Objective Tests

The Objective Test of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections (Generalists) and 5 sections (Specialists) for total 200 marks

For Generalists :

  • Test of Reasoning Ability : 50 Marks
  • Test of English Language : 50 Marks
  • Test of General Awareness : 50 Marks
  • Test of Quantitative Aptitude : 50 Marks

For Specialists :

  • Test of Reasoning Ability : 40 Marks
  • Test of English Language : 40 Marks
  • Test of General Awareness : 40 Marks
  • Test of Quantitative Aptitude : 40 Marks
  • Test of Professional Knowledge : 40 Marks

2. Descriptive Test :

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language

  • Letter Writing - 10 Marks
  • Essay - 20 marks

The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode

For each Question of wrong answer one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score

A candidate shall be required to qualify in the descriptive test, but the marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards short listing for interviews or final selection

Phase – III : Interview

  • Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company
  • Interview will be conducted at selected centres
  • The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively
  • The centre,address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter
  • Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from company’s website www.orientalinsurance.org.in
  • Intimation for downloading call letter in Company Website will also be sent through email/SMS

Final selection

  • Final selection would be based on consolidated marks of main examination (objective test) & Interview
  • Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies in the merit list shall be considered for appointment

  • SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy) candidates who wish to avail the benefit of pre-examination training may register their names and other details with the Regional offices of The Oriental Insurance Co Ltd
  • The Regional Offices will inform the registered candidates the date and venue of the training
  • Such candidates would have to attend the training at their own cost on the appointed dates and at the venue advised to them
