ESIC Mumbai Applications in the prescribed format are invited from Indian Citizens for filling up ESIC vacancies of Stenographer (Group ‘C’) in the offices of ESI Corporation in Maharashtra Region. The post carries the Pay Band of 5200-20200 plus 2400/- as Grade Pay, and other admissible allowances.

The vacancies are in various offices of the ESI Corporation in Maharashtra Region and the selected candidates will to be posted anywhere in Maharashtra Region. Only those Candidates, who are willing to accept the postings in Maharashtra Region, need to apply.
I. Educational Qualification for ESIC Vacancies 2010 :
- Higher Secondary Pass (pass in 12th Standard) or its equivalent from a recognized Board of Education.
- A speed of 80 words per minute in stenography in English or Hindi.
- Working knowledge of computers, including office suites and database.
II. Age Limit for ESIC 2010 : Between 18 and 27 years as on 04/11/2010.
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit :

- Fees once paid will not be refunded for any reason whatsoever, nor will it be reserved for any other examination.
- Fees should be paid by way of Demand Draft / Pay order drawn in favour of “ESI Fund, Account Number.1” and payable at Mumbai.
- Candidate’s name, address should be written on the back of demand draft / Pay order.
IV. Scheme of ESIC Examination 2010 :
The Examination will consist of three parts, Viz :
Part-I : General English / General Knowledge.
Part-II : Stenography test at speed of 80 words per minute in English or Hindi and transcription of the same on Computer.
Part-III : Working knowledge of computer including use of office suites and data bases.
Candidates who are successful in Paper-I will be admitted to Paper-II and III, based on their performance in paper-I.
VI. Method of Selection for ESIC Recruitment 2010 :
Selection will be made as per combined merit position obtained on the basis of Part-I Written Examination and Part II / III skill test, mentioned above.
VII. ESIC Application Form 2010 :
ESIC Application form may be downloaded from ESIC website www.esicmaharashtra.gov.in. ESIC Application Form in the prescribed form may be submitted in the envelope super scribed “ESIC Application Form for the post of Stenographer” at the following address on or before 04/11/2010.

The following documents should be attached with the ESIC application form :
a. Two copies of recent passport size photographs duly attested by a Group “A” / Group “B” / Gazetted officer with one photograph pasted on the ESIC application form.
b. Attested copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of age / date of birth / educational qualification / caste / experience, etc.
c. Medical Certificates issued by the Competent Authority, specifying the extent of disability, in case of Physically Handicapped candidates.
d. Attested copy of Community / Status certificate in the prescribed form in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / PH / Ex-Serviceman category issued by the competent authority. OBC category candidates claiming reservation / age relaxation should submit the community certificate to the Government of India, DOPT Office Memorandum No.36012/22/93-Estt. (SCT) dated 8.9.1993 and modified vide DOPT’s Office Memorandum No.36033/22/3/2004- Estt. (Res.) dated 9.3.2004, failing which the benefit of reservation or age relaxation will not be given to them.
Those candidates who are employed in Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous bodies etc. should send their Employees State Insurance Corporation applications “Through Proper Channel” / However, they may send an advance copy of their application alongwith certificates and testimonials so as to reach this office on or before the due date.
Note-1 : The ESIC application form and other documents should be arranged in the following order, one below the other, and tightly tagged or stapled on the left hand side top corner.

- ESIC Application Form
- Attested copies of all the certificates / testimonials.
Note-2 : The Demand Draft / Pay Order should not be tagged or stapled, but should be pinned or clipped at the top of the ESIC Application Form.
- The last date for receipt of ESIC application form is 04.11.2010.
- The ESIC application form is to be sent by ordinary post to the abovementioned address.
VIII. General Conditions for ESIC Jobs 2010 :
a. A candidate should submit one ESIC application form only. Submission of more than one application may lead to rejection of all the applications submitted.
b. Mere submission of ESIC application form does not confer any right to be called for examination.
c. Incomplete / unsigned ESIC application form and applications received without the required fee / postal charges, as the case may be, photograph, attested copies of required certificates and those received after the prescribed last date will be summarily rejected without any communication to the candidates.
d. Candidates seeking relaxation in age limit and / or exemption from payment of examination fee should enclose attested copy of relevant certificates in support of their claim and in the absence of such documentary support their claim for relaxation in age limit and / or exemption from payment of examination fee will not be considered.
e. No TA / DA will be payable to any candidate, including candidates belonging to SC / ST / PWD / OBC / EXSM categories, for appearing in the written examination or in computer skill test.
f. No interim correspondence on any issues / matter will be entertained.
g. ESIC Application Form should be submitted in the prescribed form only. They should be filled up in Block / Capital Letters in candidate’s own handwriting.
h. Submission of ESIC application form does not vest in the candidate any right to be called for test / offer of appointment.
Caution : Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification and shall result in cancellation of the candidature at any stage.
