Defence Research & Development Organization, DRDO, Recruitment and Assessment Centre, RAC has invited applications from graduate engineers and postgraduates in Science to apply for Scientist and Engineer posts. Interested candidates can apply for the posts within 21 days from the date of publication of advertisement in the employment news. A total of 290 posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. DRDO RAC Scientist & Engineer 2020: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Age Limit

Candidates who want to apply for the posts will have to apply through GATE 2017, 2018, 2019 score. The complete educational qualification details can be checked through the Official Notification available here.

DRDO RAC Scientist & Engineer 2020: Selection Process

The shortlisted candidates based on the GATE scores and/or Descriptive Examination will be required to appear in the personal interview to be held at Delhi.

The final selection of the candidates will be purely based on discipline wise category wise merit of aggregate of 80% weight age of marks in the Descriptive Examination or GATE score and 20% weightage of marks in Personal Interview.

Only those candidates securing minimum qualifying marks in the Personal Interview will be considered for preparation of final merit list. Candidates who do not qualify the interview will not be considered for final selection irrespective of their Descriptive Examination score (for Part‐I disciplines)/ GATE score (for Part‐II disciplines).The offer of appointment to the selected candidates will be restricted to the number of vacancies in order of merit.

Other Details

Male candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC category are required to pay a non-refundable non-transferable application fee of Rs 100/- payable online only. Recruitment for the Posts of Scientist/Engineer 'B' under Advt. No. 137

It is hereby informed that Advt. No. 137 and its addendum tor recruitment to the post of Scientist 'B' in Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), and for the post of Scientist/Engineer 'B' in Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), was published on the website of RAC (https://rac.gov.in) on 13th May 2020.

The basic details of the advertisement are summarized below:

Scale of Pay: Level-10 (7th CPC) of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 56,100/-). Total emoluments (inclusive of HRA and all other allowances) at the time of joining will be approximately Rs. 80,000/- p.m. at the present metro city rate. Disciplines: Electronics & Comm. Engg (ECE), Mechanical Engg (ME), Computer Science & Engg (CSE), Electrical Engg, Material Science & Engg/ Metallurgical Engg, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engg, Aeronautical Engg, Mathematics, Civil Engg, Psychology. Essential Qualification (EQ): At least First Class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Technology (in relevant Subject/ Discipline) for vacancies in engineering disciplines and at least First Class Master's Degree in relevant Science subject or Mathematics or Psychology for vacancies in other disciplines. Selection Process: For the disciplines of ECE, ME, CSE (under Part-I of Table 1 of Advt No. 137) • Shortlisting and final selection will be on the basis of valid GATE score, performance in a Descriptive Examination and Interview. • Candidates from IITs/NITs with minimum 80% marks in qualifying degree are exempted from the requirement of GATE qualification. For other disciplines (under Part-II of Table 1 of Advt. No. 137) • Shortlisting and final selection will be on the basis of valid GATE score and Interview. For the discipline of Psychology (under Part-III of Table 1 of Advt. No. 137) • Shortlisting and final selection will be on the basis of score and qualification status in UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) and Interview. How to Apply: Eligible and interested candidates are required to register and submit their applications online on the RAC website (https://rac.gov.in) Closing Date: Online application submission will be open till July 10th 2020. • Candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the final examinations of qualifying degree, may upload their final result i.e. degree/provisional certificates and consolidated marks sheets by 31 August 2020 (extendable, at the discretion of RAC, depending upon the situation prevailing at that time) • Candidates who will be appearing for the NET exam of June 2020 will have to submit their NET score card/certificate within fifteen days of the declaration of NET June 2020 results.
