Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL / Company). a wholly owned subsidiary of Reserve Bank of India presently having its presses at Mysore in Karnataka and Salboni in West Bengal with Corporate Office at Bangalore invites applications from willing candidates for the posts of Assistant Manager and Industrial Workman Grade – I (Trainee) in its organisation.
1. BRBNMPL Vacancies 2011 / Reservation :

Out of 22 vacancies in the BRBNMPL Assistant Manager Grade proposed to be filled up, 10 vacancies are reserved for Mechanical branch, 4 vacancies for Accounts and the remaining 8 vacancies for Electrical / Electronics / Printing /Pulp & Paper Technology branches.
The Company is in the process of promoting Industrial Workmen Grade-I and Assistant Manager who are due for promotion under its Time Bound Promotion Scheme. Therefore, the number of vacancies as also the number of reserved BRBNMPL 2011 vacancies mentioned above are provisional and may change according to the actual requirement of BRBNMPL.
ii) Reservation for SC / ST / OBC / PWD / ExS etc. categories are applicable as per extant Government of India orders.
iii) * 1 vacancy is reserved for Persons with Disability of Orthopaedically Handicapped (OH) / Hearing Impaired (HI) categories.
iv) # 2 vacancies are reserved for Persons with Disability of Orthopaedically Handicapped (OH) / Hearing Impaired (HI) categories.
Orthopaedically Handicapped (OH) :
(a) Locomotor Disability means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy.
(b) Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development.
All these cases of Orthopaedically Handicapped persons would be covered under the category of “Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy”.
Hearing Impaired (HI) means loss of sixty decibels or more In the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.
Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in services / posts who suffer from not less than 40 percent of relevant disability.
2. Qualificatin & Experience (As on 30th April 2011) :
A. Assistant Manager in BRBNMPL Bank 2011 :
(I) B.Tech / B.E. with 60% marks in the aggregate (55% marks for SC / ST candidates) from a Government-recognized Institute / University in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Printing Technology / Pulp & Paper Technology. They should have one year post-qualification experience In production / manufacturing unit OR
(II) Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks in the aggregate (55% marks for SC / ST candidates) with a pass in intermediate examination of CA / ICWA having three years experience in production / manufacturing unit For Staff Candidates Only: A pass in B.Tech / B.E / AMIE (Certificate issued by the institute of Engineers, Kolkata) in any discipline from a Government recognised University / Institute OR Graduation in any discipline with a pass in intermediate examination of CA / ICWA. The staff candidates should have put in atleast two years of service in the Company.
B. BRBNMPL Recruitment of Industrial Workman Grade-I
The candidates should have passed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical / Electronics with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate (50% in respect of SC/ST candidates) from a Government recognized Institute / University with one year post-qualification experience in production / manufacturing unit OR
The candidates should have passed ITI / NAC / NTC in the trades of Tool and Die Maker. Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Machinist, Machinist Grinder, Turner, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic. Under C.O.E Trades of Production and Manufacturing, Electronic and Electrical with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% in respect of SC/ST candidates) from a Government recognized Institute / University with 2 years post-qualification experience in production / manufacturing unit.
3. Age Limit for BRBNMPL Jobs 2011 (As on 30th April 2011) :
A. Assistant Manager Recruitment in BRBNMPL 2011 : Not more than 31 years.
Staff candidates : No Upper Age limit.
B. Industrial Workman Grade-I : Not more than 28 years.
Upper age limit for both the posts is relaxable as under :
a) Upto a maximum of 5 years in respect of SC / ST candidates.
b) Upto a maximum of 3 years in respect of OBC candidates.
c) Upto a maximum of 10 years if the candidate is a physically handicapped person. For candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC who are physically handicapped, the maximum age relaxation of 10 years permissible for physically handicapped shall be in addition to the age relaxation provided as above.
d) Upto a maximum of 3 years (8 years for SC / ST and 6 years for OBCs candidates) for Ex-Servicemen. This is in addition to the period of their service in the Defence forces. However, they should not have crossed 50 years of age.
e) Upto a maximum of 5 years to candidates of Jammu and Kashmir who have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
4. BRBNMPL Examination Fees :
A) BRBNMPL Assistant Manager Recruitment 2011 : 250/- for all except SC / ST / PWD and staff candidates.
B) Industrial Workman Grade-I : 150/- for all except SC / ST / PWD.
Requisite fee must be paid along with the BRBNMPL application by means of Bank Pay Order / Bank Draft (validity 6 months) issued by a Scheduled Commercial Bank drawn in favour of “Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran (P) Limited” payable at Bangalore. Payment In any other manner will not be accepted. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
5. BRBNMPL Pay Scale :
Assistant Manager Vacancies in BRBNMPL 2011 : Pay Band 15050-41760 with Grade Pay of 5,520/-.
Industrial Workman Grade – I : Pay Band 7000-24240 with Grade Pay of 2,280/-.
a) The selected candidates in BRBNMPL 2011 Assistant Manager Grade will be placed on probation for a period of one year on a Pay of 15050 + Grade Pay of 5,520/- per month in the Pay Band of 15050-41760. The initial gross monthly emoluments, including Dearness Allowance at Central Government rate (presently 51%) and other admissible allowances at the Basic Pay of 20570/- (Pay + Grade Pay) is 33000/- (approx.) (excluding House Rent Allowance). The period of probation may be extended by a further maximum period of one year at the discretion of the Company.
b) The selected candidates in Industrial Workman Grade-I will be taken initially on training for one year during which period they will be given mainly “on-the-job” training. They will be paid a monthly stipend of 11000/-. They are also eligible for certain Allowances as per the rules of the Company. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be placed on probation for a period of one year in the pay band as indicated above. The period of probation may be extended by a further maximum period of one year at the discretion of the Company.
In addition to the above, the candidates for both the posts are also eligible for food vouchers and conveyance allowance as per the rules of the Company.
On placement on probation / confirmation, the employees will be eligible for Dearness Allowance and other admissible allowances etc., and are also eligible for other facilities as applicable to the regular Assistant Manager and Industrial Workmen staff in Grade-I.
6. Accommodation :
All the selected candidates on appointment will be eligible for allotment of Quarters as par the allotment rules of the Company subject to availability.
7. Career Growth Prospects :
The Company has a Scheme of Time-Bound Promotion for Industrial Workmen Staff. The Company also has Time Bound Promotion Scheme for Assistant Manager and Personal Promotion Scheme in other officer grades. The period of training is accounted as period of service for the purpose of Time Bound Promotion.
8. Selection Procedure for BRBNMPL Recruitment 2011 :
i) Selection for the posts of Assistant Manager and Industrial Workman Grade-I (Trainee) will be done through Objective type written examination followed by a personal Interview of candidates who qualify in the BRBNMPL Written Test 2011 and short listed for interview.
ii) The BRBNMPL Objective Type of Written Examination in respect of Assistant Manager will consist of tests on Reasoning & Analytical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General English and General Awareness.
iii) The Objective type of BRBNMPL Written Examination in respect of Industrial Workman Grade-I will consist of tests on Reasoning, Numerical Ability. General English and General Knowledge.
vi) All the above tests except General English will be printed in bilingual form i.e. Hindi & English.
v) As the BRBNMPL Vacancies in the Assistant Manager grade are reserved for candidates from i) Mechanical branch ii) Accounts branch and iii) Electrical / Electronics / Printing / Pulp & Paper Technology group, separate rank lists in respect of each of these branch / group will be prepared after written test as also after interview and candidates will be appointed from these three lists to the extent of BRBNMPL 2011 vacancies earmarked for each branch / group.
v) The candidates will have to take the test on the date and time as indicated in the BRBNMPL Call Letter 2011.
vii) The BRBNMPL Written Examination will be held tentatively on 19.06.2011. The exact date, sessions, time of examination will be communicated to the candidates through call letter separately.

xi) All candidates will have to appear for the written examination at their own cost.
x) Candidates should select only one centre and indicate the name of the centre in the BRBNMPL Application Form 2011. Choice of centre once exercised by the candidate will be final. Request for change of centre will not be entertained. If sufficient number of candidates do not opt for a particular centre for BRB Bank 2011 written examination, the Company reserves the right to allot any centre to any candidate.
9. BRBNMPL Application Form 2011 :
Those who satisfy the aforesaid eligibility norms may submit their applications strictly in the prescribed format neatly handwritten on one side only on A4 size paper along with photocopies of certificates in respect of their qualification, age, experience, caste status as in the Government of India format (if applicable) and No objection certificate from the present employer. The BRB Bank Application Form 2011 may be downloaded from the Company’s website www.brbnmpl.co.in. BRBNMPL Applications, complete in all respects, should be sent only by ordinary post to the following address so as to reach on or before 25.04.2011.
